Cookie Policy

The short version. BassRack does not use cookies for tracking today. The website and the app store a few items in your browser's local storage so they work: your settings, progress and choices. If you sign in, the app also keeps your sign-in session and your plan. The waitlist form's security check (Cloudflare Turnstile) and, only during a checkout, Paddle's checkout may set a cookie or similar storage that is strictly necessary for security or for the payment. Advertising and analytics storage would only be used with your consent, and you can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings".
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what the BassRack website (bassrack.com) and the BassRack web app store on your device, and how you control it. "Cookies" here includes similar technologies: your browser's local storage, session storage and file storage (for example, IndexedDB). It complements our Privacy Policy.
2. Categories
- Necessary: needed for the website or the app to work or for features you ask for: your settings, your progress, your local library, your sign-in and your plan, the record of your consent choice, the security check of the waitlist form and the checkout. These are always on and do not require consent.
- Preferences: remember choices that make the experience nicer, such as a dismissed hint or a mixer level. They stay on your device and are never shared.
- Advertising: used by an ad network to show and measure ads, including personalised ads. Not used today. Only used with your consent once a real ad network is enabled.
- Analytics: audience measurement. Not used today. Only used with your consent if ever enabled.

Advertising and analytics storage: none today. When a real ad network is enabled, we will list here the cookies and storage it uses, and it will only use them with your consent.
5. Your choice and how to change it
On your first visit, the website and the app ask for your choice with three options: Accept all, Reject all and Settings (choose by category). Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the Service works either way. Necessary storage is always on.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time:
- on the website, with Cookie settings in the footer;
- in the app, with Cookie settings in the Rig panel.
Without advertising consent, only non-personalised ads may be shown on the Free plan, and no ad network storage is used for personalisation. When a real ad network is enabled, we will pass your choice to it in the format it requires (for example, Google Consent Mode), and we will not load its scripts in a way that ignores your choice.
The app's personal build, which has no ads and uses only necessary storage, does not show the banner.
6. Deleting stored data
You can delete what BassRack stores at any time in your browser settings (site data for bassrack.com). This also deletes your local library, your progress and your settings on that device, which we cannot recover, and it signs you out.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when what we store changes, in particular before enabling a real ad network. If the categories change, we will ask for your choice again.
